Containment

by Dan Manz , Kejnain Jocelyn

Containment invites you to decipher a cryptic landscape. The environment moves between nuclear mythos and hostile configurations of earth. Evolution of language and cultural specificity can render linguistic warnings obsolete on larger time scales. Informed by semiotic theory, the landscape seeks to transmit an inter-generational omen. In particular, semiotician Sebeok’s proposal of an atomic priesthood is explored - the creation of religious and cultural markers that can endure across generations, effectively communicating beyond language.
